Today’s guest is the inimitable Cathryn Hein. Her wicked sense of humour, passion for golf, and obsession with a bunch of grown men wearing red and white tight shorts, makes her stand out from the crowd. I love hanging out with Cathryn and Rachael Johns at RWA and ARRA events – and if you want Continue reading

Jennifer St George
There are some people who just ooze style, no matter what time of day or night it is, not matter what situation is unfolding, no matter how much mayhem surrounds them. Today’s blog guest, Jennifer St George is one of those. I’ve watched her in action at RWA conferences and thought, ‘Wow!’ Now after reading Continue reading
ARRC 2013
The fun is over for another two years and I’m heading home to Cairns after a fabulous weekend at the Australian Romance Readers Convention 2013. Congratulations to the organisers for delivering a great convention. The keynote speakers were excellent as was the mix of panels. Delicious food and convivial company made it extra special (breakfasts Continue reading
When all is lost.
It’s hard to comprehend how an area of low pressure in the Gulf of Carpentaria could spawn a deluge that roared down the east coast of Australia sweeping all before it in its fury. Flying from Cairns to Melbourne today I saw the land slowly change from emerald green to muddy brown to silvery-beige and black. Continue reading

Australian Women Writers Challenge 2013
I have a cunning plan this year to ensure I list all the books I read as part of the AWWC 2013. Simple, really! As I read them I’m going to post something about them. These won’t be rated reviews as I’m way too close to many of the authors and I know I’m incapable Continue reading
This not so secret aviation life!
Today I’m visiting Rachael John’s blog and I’m chatting about my secret life! (That would be my alter ego – Captain Helene Young, who flies Dash 8 aircraft all over Queensland!) And if that doesn’t sound interesting, not to worry there’s a copy of Burning Lies up for grabs, but you’ll have to drop by and Continue reading
Rachael’s been Jilted!
Today’s gorgeous guest is Rachael Johns. She has a fabulous blog with a great segment called Theory on Thursday which has wisdom to share so add it to your RSS feed list. She’s also one busy lady who has more books in the pipeline for this year and I’m delighted she’s made room in her Continue reading
