Today’s visitor, Sally Scott, is the Chief Flying Instructor of the North Queensland Aero Club. She’s been working in Commercial aviation for 18 years and is responsible for sending many young men and women onwards and literally upwards with their flying careers. After the rain
We planted a pair of Golden Penda over five years ago on our front footpath. For five years they haven’t flowered, barely a flash of a yellow between them. Now, after the rain, they are making up for lost time. The birds love them. So do I 🙂

At Trinity the waves were chaotic, but they only delivered sand higher up the beaches. I think the Life Guard Hut will still be there tomorrow 🙂 Vasey Esplanade Continue reading
And the sun rises after Yasi
Trinity Beach seems to have survived Cyclone Yasi with minimal damage. There’s a lot of vegetation down, some awnings missing, broken fences and debris everywhere, but the sea hasn’t inundated any of the low lying areas. We still have power and, more amazingly, phone and internet. Friends higher up the hill slopes of Trinity Beach Continue reading
