Cucumber sandwich anyone?
I’m over chatting to Alison Stuart about the aviation industry, Zeus and writing. I’m also giving away a copy of Burning Lies to celebrate being on the short list for the Daphne’s, The RUBY and now longlisted for the Davitt’s!! (Happy to send the book as a gift if you have some one special you’d Continue reading
That sinking feeling…
We had a sinking feeling on Roo Bin Esque yesterday 🙂 Nothing serious, just tidal extremes courtesy of the ‘super moon’! When we took Zeus for a late night walk the tide had turned. Sadly my iphone photos aren’t up to the usual standard, but you’ll get the drift.
Jennifer St George
There are some people who just ooze style, no matter what time of day or night it is, not matter what situation is unfolding, no matter how much mayhem surrounds them. Today’s blog guest, Jennifer St George is one of those. I’ve watched her in action at RWA conferences and thought, ‘Wow!’ Now after reading Continue reading
The Marion Centre
Yesterday was the final day of my South Australia tour and it didn’t get off to the most seamless of starts when our flight from Mt Gambier was delayed by almost 2 hours… One of the issues for regional flying is always going to be availability of spare parts and engineers when something goes wrong Continue reading
Seppeltsfield
I’ve never been to the Barossa Valley so today was already set to be special. I’d googled Seppeltsfield Winery and thought it looked rather swish, but the photos don’t do it justice. Then, just when we thought we’d make it on time despite the delay, a runaway trailer from a B-Double took out some traffic lights. Continue reading
The sun shone on Bunbury and Eaton
Despite the rain pelting down we left Perth under a double rainbow – an auspicious start which delivered on its promise. The audience at Bunbury Library were lovely and asked some excellent questions. Thanks to Debra and her team for hosting the event. It was great to meet you all. I did venture out for a Continue reading
Not even fog could stop us getting to Kalamunda Library!
After a flying visit to see Mum before I left Brisbane we got to the airport to discover fog in Sydney was playing havoc with airline schedules. Instead of arriving in Perth with plenty of time to check into the hotel and enjoy Perth’s ambience Ali, my publicist from Get Reading Australia for this leg Continue reading
Warwick, Chermside now onto Perth!
It’s been a while since I’ve visited Warwick, but driving up through Cunningham’s Gap, with the rain coming down and lines of large trucks groaning under their load as they laboured up the incline, brought back many memories. As we crested the hill approaching Warwick and several churches poked their spires up through the trees Continue reading
