It’s my last night in our house. It feels empty and a little sad without GW and Zeus. I knew I’d have mixed emotions when the time came to pack everything up, downsize and move onto a boat. Good to see I haven’t disappointed myself…. It’s not that I don’t want to turn into a Continue reading

How to make a diamond sparkle!
Today I have the pleasure of welcoming another debut Penguin author, Kathryn Ledson. If you’re a devotee of Janet Evanovich and Stephanie Plum then you need to read ROUGH DIAMOND because Erica Jewell will kick Stephanie’s pert backside into touch! (And this from a devoted Stephanie fan!!!) Snappy dialogue, a rich cast of characters and Continue reading
Winner of House for all Seasons!
I am a little late to announce the winner of House for all Seasons, but you can blame ARRA – I had so much fun on the weekend it’s taken until now for me to recover! The winner is Kathy M. Please contact me via the contact form on the blog so I can post Continue reading
How I made a House for All Seasons a home
Please welcome today’s special guest, Jenn J McLeod, debut author of House for all Seasons! I’m delighted to have Jenn visit today as she’s been a writing buddy on this journey for quite a few years now. Book Reviews – by Zeus
Hello! It’s me. It’s Zeus. Miss me?? Marie is a retired concert pianist and still finds time to share her love of music with her students. Part of preparing them for their piano Continue reading
I’d do it all again in a heart beat
Twenty-five years ago I married a man who held me close, who dried my tears, who made me laugh – even in the aftermath of a cycling accident in the middle of nowhere in the south of France… Nothing’s really changed, except GW’s hair isn’t quite so red any more and I may be a Continue reading
Hotting up?
It’s warm in North Queensland today, although according to GW it was much hotter last week… I thought he may have been angling for some sympathy since I’m sat inside editing Half Moon Bay, with the fans whirling fast enough to take off, while he’s painting the outside of the house. Clearly I didn’t make Continue reading
When all is lost.
It’s hard to comprehend how an area of low pressure in the Gulf of Carpentaria could spawn a deluge that roared down the east coast of Australia sweeping all before it in its fury. Flying from Cairns to Melbourne today I saw the land slowly change from emerald green to muddy brown to silvery-beige and black. Continue reading
