Tropical Writers Festival

It’s on again! This weekend readers, writers, lovers of poetry, comedy fans and anyone interested in stories will descend on Cairns for the Tropical Writers Festival. The event is being held at Rydges Tradewinds Hotel on the Esplanade.

Friday will see poet wordsmith, David Stavanger, working with writers on transforming their stories from the page to the stage.

Friday night we have David Stavanger, Helen Ramoutsaki, Brett Walsh, Mark Both and Tim Ferguson making us laugh, cry and reconsider life.

On Saturday and Sunday there are workshops for everything from crime to romance, song writing to poetry, picture books to  comedy. The public arena is busy all day with talks, readings, interviews and panels.

Saturday night is dinner with Matthew Reilly!

The Sunday programme is just as hectic as Saturday.

There are tickets still available so check out the website for details at http://www.cairnstropicalwritersfestival.com/
