Calling all lovers of Genre Fiction! This coming weekend the wonderful team at QWC, headed by new CEO Meg Vann, is staging GenreCon an inaugural event to celebrate all things about romance, speculative fiction, fantasy stories, paranormals, erotica, general women’s fiction and the list goes on. In fact, let’s just celebrate writing and great stories!!
GenreCon is being held at Rydges Parramatta and I’m delighted to be an invited guest. Apart from participating in a panel discussion about the stages of a writer’s journey I’m also delivering a shortened version of my Writing Popular Fiction Workshop.
The best part of the weekend will be catching up with writing buddies like Brownyn Parry, Phillipa Fioretti, Lisa Heidke, Anna Campbell, LA Larkin, PM Newton and a host of others. I’m also very excited about meeting Sarah Wendell from Smart Bitches, Trashy Books fame!!
We’ll all be partying at the cocktail party on Friday, chatting over dinner on Saturday night and cheering for our side at the great ‘Pansters versus Plotters’ debate on Sunday afternoon. Along the way there are panels workshops and keynote speakers.
All in all a fabulous way to spend a weekend 🙂
