On the 31st March in 1922 Mum was born in the Townsville Hospital.
Happy 90th birthday, Mum. You’ve seen the world change at an unprecedented pace and have done an amazing job of keeping up with it!
Look forward to that telegram from the Queen (except it will probably be the King by then…) in ten years time.
Thanks, Amanda, it was a lovely day!
Brenda, she is doing very well for 90 and she’s enjoying having a house full of flowers – she could open a florist shop with all the gorgeous arrangements she was given. It’s was lovely to hear her talking about it last night and sounding so animated.
Thanks, Cath. We’ve told her she needs to stick around for ten years so we can have another party and I can blog about the telegram. She said she’d see what she could do but was making no promises!!
Happy Birthday to your gorgeous Mum, Helene. I’m glad she enjoyed her very own birthday celebration. I hope she gets that telegram from the Queen/King!!
Cath
Happy 90th birthday to your Mum, Helene. She certainly does look sprightly…certainly doesn’t look 90! Glad you all had a wonderful day, it’s great to spend such a special occasion with family and friends 🙂
How fabulous… and wonderful that she can celebrate with her amazing, talented and adoring children!
Lol, Sandy, she is quite perky for 90. Thanks, Cathy 🙂
I think she was a little overwhelmed at the number of people who came to celebrate with her. It was the first time in her life she’d ever had a birthday party just for her. My brother’s birthday is today so more often than not they’ve had combined birthdays.
It was wonderful to catch up with family and friends who’ve been part of her life for so many years. (There’s a blog post to come on that!)
And thank you both for your good wishes.
Happy Birthday to your mum, she looks great
Happy birthday, Helene’s Mum!! Hope you have a great day. 🙂
Are you sure your Mum is 90, Helene? She looks far too perky for that age!
